Earth Day

Earth Day
posted 23 Apr 2021

Yesterday we celebrated “Earth Day” in school, organised by Mrs Howson. The children watched Mrs Howson’s assembly and read the book: “Dear Earth” by Isabel Otter. They then either wrote letters to Earth or created a poster with a promise to the Earth of how they are going to help restore it. The work produced was incredible. Mrs Howson has also very cleverly created a wire frame of the word RESTORE. Each year group got involved in planting some seeds in each of the letters. Not only will this look beautiful but the wild flowers will, of course, help to restore our local environment. This will be placed on the slope in the conservation area for everyone to enjoy. A huge thank you to Mrs Howson, who has taken a lot of time and effort to organise this day for the children. Mrs Howson (along with other staff members) have also worked very hard over Easter restoring our allotment area – a huge thank you to everyone involved
