Another busy week has flown by at school. We are very proud of the children in 6X, who have been at home self-isolating this week. They have produced some excellent work on Seesaw and have engaged well with Mrs Morgan via Zoom. Seesaw and Zoom are no match for being at school and having real social interactions and live feedback from teachers, but the children have made the most of a tricky situation and Mrs Morgan has worked incredibly hard at home too. The children are really looking forward to being back on Monday and we are looking forward to seeing them, as well as Mrs Morgan.
This week has been Anti-bullying and Diversity week and we began the week with our odd socks day, which was a chance for our children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes them special. Thank you for taking part. The children have also enjoyed various activities relating to anti-bullying and an assembly from Mrs Young too. Being kind and treating others respectfully is something we talk about all of the time at Coleham; we remind children to treat others as they would wish to be treated and most of the time, they do just that!
Christmas songs are starting to be heard in the classrooms as the children prepare a slightly different Christmas performance this year. They are all really enjoying the chance to sing and perform, and we are really excited to share our hard work with you all too. It will be different to normal, but we are sure that you will enjoy it and hopefully, when it arrives in your inboxes, it will inject a little Christmas cheer!
Next week is Science week here at school. All classes will be learning about a famous scientist and planning a motivating investigation that inspires children about science. We are hoping to share some of the children's work on Seesaw to give you a flavour of what we have been learning about.
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and manage to enjoy some fresh air.
