Weekly Bulletin for week commencing 16th November

Dear Parents/Carers,

The children have had an enjoyable week in school.  My assembly this week focused on Remembrance Day and the diary of a soldier. I know many of classes have created lovely art work and writing around this.   Mrs Howson and the Eco Council have told me they have some exciting news and they will be sharing this with everybody in their Eco Newsletter very soon. Watch this space….!

Next week is our whole school Anti-bullying and Diversity Week with lots of class activities and lessons shining a spotlight on bullying and helping children to take action against bullying throughout the year. The week will kick off with ‘Odd Socks’ Day on Monday.  Please can you encourage your children to wear ‘Odd socks’, to promote tolerance and respect for all?

Finally, Friends of Coleham have been busy organising two Christmas events and will be funding a special treat for all the children in the last week of term.  Friends of Coleham purchased a new bank of pupil laptops and a laptop trolley for school just before the Summer break which we are very grateful for.  They have had to cancel our school fairs this year which we are really sad about, so I hope you can help support their first event of 2020, the very popular “Grand Hamper Raffle”.  If you are able to help, they are asking children to hand in hamper donations to their class teacher.  We know that times are difficult so please do not feel any undue pressure to make a donation.

As always, I hope you have a restful weekend with your family.

 Kind regards,

Claire Jones (Headteacher)
