Bulletin for week commencing 7th December

Dear Parents/Carers,

Christmas is fast approaching, and the school is now beautifully decorated with handmade decorations made by the children.  We have tried really hard to make our decorations out of natural materials and we have limited the amount of glitter used as we know how bad this is for our environment.  The children have been so creative, and our school looks beautiful!  We have now recorded all of our Christmas performances and Mr Williams is in the process of creating a Key Stage 1/EYFS and a Key Stage 2 video to share with you all on Seesaw.  I am very excited to watch the performance and am sure that you will enjoy it very much.

We are very much looking forward to the final week of term and have lots of fun and exciting activities for the children to enjoy.  Thank you to everyone who has supported Friends of Coleham by buying raffle tickets for our Christmas hampers.  The draw takes place tonight at 8pm so there is still time to buy tickets!

The children have watched our promotional video for Elfridges this week with Mrs Nash as chief elf.   If you have supported this event and already purchased gifts on ParentPay, thank you.  Please do not worry if you are unable to buy any tickets for Elfridges as all children will have the opportunity to select a gift for a loved one in our grotto.  As usual, the children will enjoy Christmas dinner during the final week and also a Christmas party, though both of these events will take place in classrooms to maintain our class bubbles.

As usual, we are happy for children to send cards to each other in their classes.  We will ensure that the cards are quarantined before they are given out to keep everyone safe.  Please ensure that all cards are brought into school by Wednesday 16th December at the latest to allow enough time to quarantine the cards.

Please have a look at the attached bulletin as there are many useful reminders on there.  I hope that you all enjoy a lovely weekend with better weather than we have seen this week!

Kind regards,

Ms Jones
